This exhibition focused on Mitsuo Kano’s contemporary practice while tracing the trajectory of his artistic development and creative experimentation, primarily through his prints and paintings. It featured approximately 150 prints, 150 paintings, as well as around 90 related materials, including production plans, image studies, colour plans, and printmaking tools, together with new and previously unexhibited works.
Among the diverse body of Kano’s work presented in this exhibition, the Sezon Museum of Modern Art holds paintings from  Breast Region Work series, as well as print series such as Catching the Lightning PF (1977) and Illumination (1986). The Museum also owns String Utensils: Crystal Gravitation(Object in book style, with Poetry “Under the Sleepless Tosshing of Planets” by Makoto Ooka)(1975), a livre-objet created in collaboration with the poet Makoto Ooka.
