Francesco Clemente – Two Horizons
This exhibition brought together approximately 120 works selected by the artist himself and gathered from collections around the world, based on a curatorial concept that Francesco Clemente had developed over many years.
The exhibition included a wide range of works in diverse styles and media, from large-scale drawings on handmade Indian paper to frescoes, tempera paintings, pastels, oil paintings, and watercolours. Spanning more than two decades, it traced the development of Clemente’s practice from the 1970s to his most recent works.
Among the works exhibited were pastel paintings such as Caduta (1983), as well as major works including Tutta la vita (1986), all of which are now in the collection of the Sezon Museum of Modern Art.
