This exhibition was conceived as an exploration of the possibility of a “sanctuary” in art at the end of the twentieth century. Bringing together practitioners from diverse fields—including visual art, architecture, photography, design, and poetry—it sought to create a space in which different forms of expression could interact while maintaining their individual autonomy. Through dialogue across disciplinary boundaries, the exhibition examined the role of art in contemporary society and the possibilities for new forms of creative practice.
