This portfolio of prints by eight artists was produced to raise funds for the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), which was established in 1979. The portfolio contains eight prints: lithographs by Richard Diebenkorn, Sam Francis, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Rauschenberg, and Niki de Saint Phalle; an etching by David Hockney; and silkscreen prints by Jean Tinguely and Andy Warhol. The works are housed in an original box designed by Joseph Kosuth, featuring a gray linen cover with the title stamped in yellow. The portfolio was issued in an edition of 250 copies and sold for $10,000 per set. Through the participation of leading international artists, the project not only supported the newly founded museum financially but also reflected the diversity of contemporary art at the time.
